Back on schedule....

Hi there,

So now that I am back on schedule I know that morrow is April Fools Day!

I have a writing class morrow with my favorite teacher at PCC. Mary Bartholemy is the best writing teacher in the world and I got the books for the class and one of them is Little House on the Prairie! I'm so excited. When I was little I used to have dreams that I was Laura, my big sis was Mary and of course, Ma and Pa were my mom and dad. I remember thinking but we don't have a Carry. Then when I was 12 my mother got pregnant and we got our Carry! Unfortunately, I never got my little house on the Prairie. Well, then! That's why my dream house is a house in the middle of nowhere. It's my dream, MY Little House on MY Prairie! It shall be mine one day!

It's raining, IT'S POURING!!!!!

Hi there,

W@hat in the world is going on with our beautiful Oregon weather? We have been in regular pouring rain for close to 24 hours I think. Maybe we went 30 minutes without the rain, but could you please give us 30 hours without it PLEASE!!!!!! I BEG YOU!!!!

I spent the day in school. I am taking a pretty awesome class called Geography of Oregon. My teacher Mrs. Campbell is great! I have to be up early so catch ya morrow!

School starts morrow!

Hi there,

I can't believe school already starts morrow! I'm still in semi-recovery from last night.... No, not from drinking too much! From dancing and being on my feet. I didn't make it to the PSU Party, though. I was also sworn to secrecy on where I was so I am sorry I may not reveal my location last night. Some of my friends and/or family are all weird about this whole web-log thing.

Well, I do guess I put everything out there..... Once in a while when I am having a suspicious kind of day, I will see people watching me or looking at me funny and I wonder if they have seen my blog and know things about me... Or sometimes when someone is just way too friendly when I meet them on the streets and then again I wonder.... Isn't that a little creepy.... But I can't be the only one. I am not the only blogger in Portland, right? Great, now I am going to have bad dreams tonight. If I do I will blog about it morrow!

Today we celebrated my baby neice's birthday at Chuck-E-Cheese's!!!! Happy Birthday Princess!!! It was so much fun!

Kory, you would've enjoyed it very much.

This week was the Persian New Year.... The 21st, first day of Spring. I heard next week, the real Spring weather is heading our way... Thank goodness. Tomorrow night is the big Persian Party at Portland State University. I think I'm going, however I haven't fully made up my mind yet. What will you be doing morrow night??? Let me know.

Farewell Elizabeth Taylor...........................

Hi there,

Unbelievable! When I woke and heard I was devastated. It took me a day to talk about it! She was truly an ICON and she will be dearly missed. At least she can see Michael Jackson again. I love the comment she made about him years ago..... "Michael is the least strange man I know!" My heartcenter aches.......I must watch all of her movies all over again just to give her a proper send-off. You all should share with me and watch all of her movies!

This whole thing has made me nostalgic for the amazing films and actors and actresses I grew up with. Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, and I can never forget the good old Bob Hope and Bing Crosby Road to movies. All seven of them. Fine, so maybe some were more quirky the others. I just adore them all! In order, Road to Singapore (1940), Road to Zanzibar (1941), Road to Morocco (1942), Road to Utopia (1946), Road to Rio (1947), Road to Bali (1952), and Road to Hong Kong (1962). If you love amazing and sometime cheesy oldies but always goodies, check these movies out!

Yes, I missed yesterdays post........ I must be punished!

Hi there,

I am quite beside myself about missing yesterdays post, however we all should get over it. I already am!

Here's a funny story from my past...... I had a friend named Kevin back in the day that truly looked like Kevin Spacey. We went to a party one Saturday night and as we entered, people kept saying hi Kevin to him. I figured they all knew him. It was like everyone kept saying hi to him. I finally asked him if he really knew everyone at the party and he looked at me and said that he didn't know anyone there. I then realized that everyone was actually saying hi to him as Kvin just because he really looked like Kevin Spacey. Ha ha!

About that same time I always hung out with the same crowd of people. We often went to clubs and danced the night away for a couple of years. I mainly hung out with my cousin Vernon. Then one night he was sick and wasn't coming out but I figured I would go out anyways. I saw some people we knew and we hung out. Then everyone was going to a party so I joined them. We were all standing around talking then someone asked me who I knew. You know, how I ended up at the party. I said I was Vernon's cousin. They all looked around and said who's Vernon. I then looked around and did not see a familiar face in the crowd. Who the heck are these people? Where are the people I came with. What do they mean who's Vernon?!? Well, my friends that was the night I branched off and made new friends. It was scary at first, but I survived!!!

Happy Spring Break fellow students!!!

Hi there,

So officially it is Spring Break! Yippee!!!!! I have much to do this week starting off with being in Vancouver today through morrow night. My cousin is moving as well so my evening Monday will be spent at his house in Bevaerton to assist.

I have to tell you the funniest story about Saturday night. It was my friend Ben's birthday and we all met at the Lucky Labrador in the Pearl on NW Quimby and 19th St. As the night began to wind down we went to the Bear Paw in Milwaukie where we met up with more compadres. Guess who forgot her wallett in her vehicle at the Pearl? That would be me. I was nominated DD for the evening so I went back to the Pearl to retrieve my ID. I was driving my friends car and am still learning his GPS. OOPS! I took a nice leisurely drive up to the zoo and back through downtown on my return trip to the Bear Paw. Now, this is not the funny thing though.

As we dismantled our party from the Bear Paw, I stopped back at my car. As I pulled over by my car, my friend, whose car I was currently driving, watched me turn his car off and remove the key from the ignition. He said, "give me my keys". I handed them to him and we jumped out of his car as he was telling me he had to get his jacket out of his car. He then bolted towards my car with his alarm fob and hit the button. (Do you see where I am going with this?) Surprise! You were in your car, at your car, and your jacket was right behind you in the backseat! Then an abundance of laughter took over both of us just as he realized that he just jumped out of his very own car where his jacket was and attempted to dismantle my, oh so covert alarm in my car..... It's so covert, it practically doesn't even exist! We couldn't talk for what seemed like 15 minutes as we were completely consumed by the hilarity of his move!

Uh, yeah buddy, your jacket was right behind you, in your car. I was driving and you actually witnessed me pulling the keys out of your ignition and asked me to hand them to you. Did I mention you are a genius! It may have slipped my mind!

We are calling this particular friend of mine, Einstein from now on. Yes, Einstein! I simply cannot think of a more suitable name for him!

I hope you enjoyed Einstiens brilliant move! I promise more on him in the near future. He's like Oregon rain, it just does not stop! and will never go away!

I finished off my week in Vancouver helping my girlfriend with their daughters as they are transitioning a move to Bend Oregon..... I was unable to get to a computer last night so I am posting for yesterday now. However, I must make it a shorty. I really need to take care of my kitties right now! I think they thought their cat-mother may never return. Poor kitties! Hey, but at least their cat-mother did indeed return!

So when I was about 7 years old I was at Venice Beach with my best friend Alison and her dad Les. We were walking and I was holding onto his khaki jacket. I let got for a minute, then turned around and grabbed his jacket again and continued on my merry way. Through my perepheral vision something caught my eye. It was Alison and her dad calling out for me!

Finals weekend, and it shows.......

Hi there,

Uh, yeah, got study buddy???? So I'm here at Ava's studying with students of all schools and disciplines and we are all doing the exact same thing... Crmming for finals! It 's actually pretty fun coming here during this time of each school quarter. We all eventually get to know one another and at some point find ourselves studying together at the same table as it gets so incredibly packed in here and there seems to be difficulty in finding a table to sit at. At one point this evening I found myself sitting at a table with 8 other students quietly as we each studied for various finals. I've met many different intriguing friends around here and we all continue this friendship of mutual interests-education! I have a feeling I shall always know them. I sure do love the fact that I decided to come back to school.

My Statics book is taunting me right now. I better obey it's commands and return my attention back to it immediatley. I heard through the grapevine that my book is going to hire the Georgia to come after me. Yikes! I better run!

Thank you Kory for the wise words! You are right, you can choose your friends however, you are stuck with the family you are born into! Everyone remember those words! And Kory, I shall ring you after Tuesday night.... Finals week so I'm a studying long and hard!

I am at Ava's, the best 24 hour coffee shop in Oregon. Beaverton to be exact.... and let me tell you they are packed so it is no secret that finals are next week! I sure do hope they have scheduled accordingly! I see many familiar faces. The same faces I have encountered over the past year and half. You can sense the finals stress in the air. And there are so many groups here studying together. So what does that say about me being here all alone? I'll tell you what it says, no one is as nuts as I in this place studying the Civil Engineering Technology Program at Portland Community College!

I certainly did not know how much this program entailed. I would very much like to get a part-time job however, I do not see how I could conjure up the time to focus on my studies and go to work. Things are catching up though which means I may be on a hunt sooner than later... Maybe I will work at the new Ava's they are planning to open iin September. I sure do love coming here, maybe I should work here.

I shall return to my studies.... Wish me LUCK! CHUCK!

Back by high demand! BIOGRAPHY TIME!

Hi there,

Well I do! Do you know what it is? It is a ringing of the ears that is most annoying! I have endured this horrible symptom my whole life! I'm pretty sure I was born with it. I can remember as a very young child, maybe 3 or 4 and running into the closet and shutting the door in the dark and sitting and waiting for the aliens to contact me! I truly thought they were contacting me to take me back to my planet! This is an absolute true story all of my minds blog readers!

Here's another funny true story. So we all know by now that I am Persian, born in Iran. Now, I am not as dark as most of my family so I thought as a young girl that I may not actually be my mother and father's daughter! Can you believe it? Well you have to! I asked my mother where my birth certificate was and she said somewhere in Iran. Well, hello! We are not in Iran.... so that led me to believe that maybe, just maybe, I may not have any blood relation to this family that is raising me! Then when I was 12..... my mother got pregnant with my little sister.

I waited 9 long months and told myself if that little girl comes out looking just like the rest of my family, then that was it! I am not related to these people! It was on June 4, 1985 that the answer came. We were at the hospital and at 11:44pm there came this baby. My father ran out and said she was born and ran back in! I then went to the nursery and waited. Then the nurse rolled in this incubator with a little dark bushy black haired baby into the room! Oh MY GOODNESS!!!! Who are these people that are raising me? Who is this family and where is my real family! I was torn! And just when I got back to earth (because for a moment I swear I had an out-of-body experience) there came a commotion behind me and they wheeled my mother and then an incubator with this tiny pink, almost bald baby girl out behind her! I AM OF THIS FAMILY! Then, everyone, reality really set in, I was my mother and fathers daughter! But now, I began to question my older sister and whether or not she was..... You know, my real sister!

ARGH!!!!!!! Save me!

I had a breakfast sandwich this morning at school. I do not eat at school on a regular basis at all. I am paying for it. I am so sick! I have been in bed since I got home from school! YUK! I'm going back to bed now!

Some household wisdom to pass on.........

Hi there,

Have you ever heard of Clorox Cleanup? It is a bleach cleaning spray and I swear by it. Spray it anywhere in the house that can handle bleach and it will clean for you. It will keep your kitchen counters clean, your sink's white, your tub sparkling, and oh what it can do for your toilet. I introduce all of my friends and family to it and they just can't get enough of the stuff.

Ever spill black tea on your favorite white pants? Ever wait over 24 hours to wash them? I did. I assumed that the pants were no longer going to play a white role, but I was wrong. I used Oxi Clean powder with hot, almost boiling water and soaked them for two days, refreshing the Oxi twice, and guess who came back to life in her good old white color, my pants! Yippee!

Ever have that pair of jeans that are just way too faded or an off color that you still can't appreciate? Die them! Rit dye, and do the boiling method if you have a pot big enough. It does wonders to change the look of your not such a great color, yet fits oh so good jeans! Extra bonus, people may even stop you and ask where you got that color and you can proudly say, it's customized by Chez (your name)!

I hope you can use just one of these tips.... I think you should try at least 2! Oh and don't be afraid to be a rebel and do all 3! Pass on this cool information! People will thank you..... Oh and your white pants will thank you too!

The Georgia was able to locate a picture of the Californian Canine that is running havoc in the Portland Metro area. Has anyone seen this Californian Canine?

Does anyone know who he is? This picture is dated February 6, 2011. Does anyone even know where this was taken? The Georgia received it from an anonymous snitch and she said he will not allow her to reveal his name! This is an atrocity! What is this world coming to when a simple detective of a feline is unable to do her job thoroughly? Where is my Pic??? Please send me a message if you know anything at all!

Lesson in Love must make another appearance on my minds blog!

So, once again I must welcome the Lessons in Love by Roy Nwaisser in my minds blog. These are words to live by. Strong words that have true and wonderful meaning. I am placing this in today for someone special. You know who you are! For everyone else, YOU ARE SPECIAL TOO! You visit my blog, you read it! You get to know me. So I thank you!

The author, Roy Nwaisser is a very dear friend of mine. I have known him since we were wee teens at the ripe age of 12. I had lost touch with him many years ago, and in 2005, I sat at my computer Googling all the people I knew. When I Googled Roy, the Lesson in Love kept coming up and when I clicked on the link, it changed my life. I know it will change yours too! I consider this a gift to everyone that reads including myself, every time! PASS IT ON!

Lessons in Love................. By Roy Nwaisser

A ninety-one year old woman died after living a long dignified life. When she met God she asked him something that had long bothered her. If Man was created in God's image, and if all men are created equal, why do people treat each other so badly?

God replied that each person who enters our life has a unique lesson to teach us. And it is only through these lessons that we learn about life, people, relationships and God. This confused the woman, so God began to explain.

When someone lies to you it teaches you that things are not always as they seem. The truth is often far beneath the surface. Look beyond the masks people wear if you want to know their heart. And remove your own masks to let people know yours.

When someone steals from you it teaches you that nothing is forever. Always appreciate what you have, for you never know when you might lose it. And never, ever take your friends and family for granted because today is the only guarantee you have.

When someone inflicts an injury upon you it teaches you that the human state is a fragile one. Protect and take care of your body as best you can, it's the only thing you are sure to have forever.

When someone mocks you it teaches you that no two people are alike. When you encounter people who are different from you, don't judge them by how they look or act; instead base your opinion on the contents of their heart.

When someone breaks your heart it teaches you that loving someone does not always mean that person will love you back. But don't turn your back on love because when you find the right person, the joy that one person brings will make up for all the past hurts put together. Times ten.

When someone holds a grudge against you it teaches you that everyone makes mistakes. When you are wronged, the most virtuous thing you can do is forgive the offender without pretense. Forgiving those who have hurt us is the most difficult and courageous thing Man can do.

When a loved one is unfaithful to you it teaches you that resisting temptation is Man's greatest challenge. Be vigilant in your resistance against all temptation. By doing so you will be rewarded with an enduring sense of satisfaction far greater than the temporary pleasure by which you were tempted.

When someone cheats you, it teaches you that greed is the root of all evil. Aspire to make your dreams come true, no matter how lofty they may be. Do not feel guilty about your success, but never let an obsession with achieving your goals lead you to engage in malevolent activities.

When someone ridicules you it teaches you that nobody is perfect. Accept people for their merits and be tolerant of their flaws. Do not ever reject someone for imperfections over which they have no control.

Upon hearing the Lord's wisdom, the old woman became concerned that there were no lessons to be learned from Man's good deeds.

God replied that Man's capacity to love is the greatest gift he has. At the root of all kindness is love, and each act of love also teaches us a lesson.

The woman's curiosity deepening, God once again began to explain.

When someone loves us it teaches us that love, kindness, charity, honesty, humility, forgiveness and acceptance can counteract all the evil in the world. For every good deed, there is one less evil deed. Man alone has the power to control the balance between good and evil, but because the lessons of love are not taught often enough, the power is too often abused.

When you enter someone's life, whether by plan, chance or coincidence, consider what your lesson will be. Will you teach love or a harsh lesson of reality? When you die will your life have resulted in more loving or hurting? More comfort or pain? More joy or sadness?

Each one of us has power over the balance of love in the world. Use it wisely. Don't miss an opportunity to nudge the world's scale in the right direction. Pass this lesson of love on to those you love and to those you have hurt. For each person who receives this, there will be a little less evil in the world and a little more love.

About the Author (Roy Nwaisser) :

I went through a difficult period in the latter half of 2000. It felt like an endless string of one bad thing after another was happening to me. Much of the pain was caused by people who did things with no regard for the impact their actions would have on me. As I reflected on why people do things to hurt one another, I wrote this essay trying to find some good in all the bad.

I was initially reluctant to share the story because it's very personal. In fact, the 91 year old woman is my grandmother who had recently passed away. I eventually found the courage to let a few friends see the story and they liked it (or so they said - as good friends are apt to do). Some of them even encouraged me to share it with others. So here it is in hope that it might touch, inspire, encourage or enlighten just a few people in the world.

For the love of ELMO! I am getting sicker! It seems like when I start to feel better, I come across another person so sick, they should be home. Instead they come into contact with me and give me all of their crazy germies. I want to breath like a normal human BEAN again! And yes, I said BEAN! Because I wanted to be funny!

I have had a very long day at school. 8am to 8pm and now I am ready for bed. Had an evening rendezvous with some homework and now off to slumber! Nighty NIGHT!

Yeah, and I have been exposed, however I got the flu sot so I ROCK! Well, actually, at least i won't get the horrible FLU thing! I am already sick. At school today I just got progressively worst! I am already getting ready to turn in. It is a very early night! I need sleep so my body can rejuvenate.

Poor, poor, Charlie Sheen! I still adore him. So he has issues, who doesn't!
