Hi there,
This is the last day of 2010 all! This also happens to mark day 25 of my Minds BLOG! Hip, Hip, HOORAY! Yippee kai yay! and all that fun-o-rama! I have so far succeeded in my commitment to blog daily. OK, so I haven't really done the multiple daily blogs, buy hey! I'm still blogging daily, right?!?
I visited Tarboush last night with Faisal! "Hi FAISAL!" It was awesome, the food was awesome, and I have become a new fan of Beef Schawarma! "Can I get the awesome recipe, please?" Oh my gosh it was delectable! You should check it out! www.tarboushbistro.com. It's located at 3257 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Portland, OR 97214, right on SE 32nd and Hawthorne. Just 5 blocks from Buffalo Exchange. You can call them at (503)235-3277! YUMMY!
After Tarboush we went to King's Hookah Lounge off NW Burnside St. www.kingshookahlounge.com and there address is 1806 NW Couch St., Portland, OR 97209 and you can call them at (503) 719-6456 or (503)719-6742. It was great fun there and the service was most impeccable. The guests were respectful and fun and the HOOKAH WAS RAD! Yes, I used the RAD word again! RAD, RAD, RAD! Hey I grew up in the 80's in Los Angeles. Give a Persian Blog-a-Billy Chick a BREAK! Wait til tubular becomes my word of the day.... just wait! It was a most fun-packed evening and I'm sorry you weren't there to enjoy it with us! Well, since I'm blogging about it, I guess you did join us! Next time, you should come along. One of these days, I will start U-Tubing my adventures in ChitraLand..... Yeah, after I sinc my facebook, Twitter and blog. Sensai, where are you when I need you? I may be on my own.... Or if you happen to be a blogmaster or Social Sensai, contact me so you may help me!
I have a funny pic for you. Remember my lil friends? The lil men I thought were stalking me, but instead found they wanted a family. Well here's the pic:I would've been in the shot if I thought you might be able to see them but since I am 500 times their size, I figured they should command their own picture. I used my Chapstick as a sizer so you could really see just how tiny they really are. The pic was from Christmas night at my Dear Aunties house! We took a break to snap the shot. They were bugging me all night-"WHEN WILL YOU POST OUR PIC'S PERSIAN BLOG-a-BILLY CHICK?" so i did. Aren't they cute.... Don't tell them I said this... It may go to there tiny lil brains! Seriously, don't say anything!
News from "The Georgia" hit the fan today! She said she heard again that the pic-jacker is still in the city of Beaverton. She said this with her eyes gleaming red with anger. Watch out pic-jacker.... She's a coming! You wonder where her antlers are? remember they are her weapons of destruction in disguise... She has many more weapons of pic-jacker!!! MANY MANY MORE, SUCKA! HA!
Ciao for now,

TRON WAS AMAZING!!!!!! You have to see it!
Hi there,
Oh my gosh! Tron was one of the best movies I have seen this year and maybe in a couple of years! It was action packed until the end. It had an element of most of the sci-fi movies I have grown to love through the years. If you haven't already seen it, GO! If you have seen it, I recommend you see it again in the big screen. It made me fall in love with Jeff Bridges all over again. And the hottie who played his son Sam, Garrett Hedlund, well he just did a fabulous job. And lets not forget Olivia Wilde from House, she is one hot chick herself. The graphics, cgi, stunts, all of it was just simply wonderful! I plan on seeing it again while it's still on the big screen! I do plan on going to see Little Fockers though too! I think Ben Stiller is one great comedian!
Countdown one day to New Years Eve! It's almost 2011.... What you New Years resolution. For me, besides succeeding in school, will be to continue one of the coolest blogs in the blogosphere! Oh, and wait until the summer when Oregon weather is so great that I'm out daily. Think of the things I could write about. Camping will have to play a giant roll in that as well. I'm sorry for all the people getting that horrible weather in the Southeast and Eastern part of the country. Hang in there, friends, it's almost over.
No reports on the identity of my pic-jacker yet. I will be patient. I will find you. "The Georgia" will find you. You should hope I find you first because if she finds you before me, I once again claim no responsibility for her feline actions! I'm gonna get YOU! And when I do, I can show everyone that x-mas project. You will laugh, a lot!
Hi Faisal, I'm glad you're back from California. I'm equally glad you took my recommendation to check out In & Out Burger. What a TREAT!
In & Out Burger, PLEASE COME TO PORTLAND! We need your AMAZING FOOD............. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone else, HIDEE HO! Catch me morrow on my quest for the pic-jacker.... I think "The Georgia" is trying to contact me right now as I type. Maybe she knows something.....

Tron, baby here I come!
Hi there,
I must send out my salutations to Dr. Tommy! Hi! DOC!!!!! What's up!?! If you are starting school and need a computer doctor, he is your man! Call him or go online (503) 716-8814, mobile (503) 707-7502 and www.computerrepairservices.name and he will get you the best deal and get you up and running. Just ask me! That is why I have been able to write everyday because gosh only knows, I am not home everyday!
I'm going to see Tron tonight! Yippee!!!!! You know, in the old days, I saw the first one in the theater! Can you believe it! I can"t! Hey, buddy, I even saw E.T., Empire Strikes Back, Rambo, and Vally Girl in the theater too! Ha! I only bring up Rambo and Valley Girl because I not only saw those in the theater but I also used to be a Mall-Rat at the Sherman Oaks Gallaria back in the day when those movies where actually shot there! You know what else? Do you remember 21 Jump Street? The TV show that made the infamous Johnny Depp famous. Well, back then they used to do Mall tours to get the word out and I happen to be working for Mr. St. Nick at the Gallaria, taking pics of the kids, and they called me and Santa over to the Press Box and they took pictures of us there. I have it somewhere and when I find it I will scan it in and show you. These days with the media the way it is and the Internet, they really don;t do those crazy Mall Tours anymore. So sad, although I do seem to remember that they had to shut down the mall because of fire regulations because there were simply too many people in there. Oh what fun it was!
Countdown 2 days until New Years Eve! 2011, did I miss 2010? You tell me. Anyone that knows me is saying YES! I really think I'm still stuck in the 80's. Or in the Old West (cowboy hat!). I did graduate from High School in 1990. some of you weren't even born then! I know I go to school with people that weren't!
Speaking of school, I just picked up my books tonight. Yup, almost $400.00 later, for just 2 books and a TI89. Gosh darn-it for me since I cannot use my Casio ClassPad for my Civil Engineering Program. Oh well, now I own both just in case! I almost got that Dragon software so I don't have to type anymore. I guess that will come in time. Maybe by then my computer will have the program secretly installed itself so I don't have to spend $100.00 on it! "YIKES" (once again, thanks Curtis, wherever you are! I will find you, crazy!)
I really hope you are enjoying tuning in to read my blog.
I know I am enjoying sharing all this with you. I know sometimes I'm all over the place, but that's why I'm doing this. I need somewhere to channel my energy. Well, until some crazy scientist learns how to harness it for the good of the world! In the meantime, I BLOG! Well, My Mind BLOGS!
Hi to everyone! I miss you all! I can't wait to see you again, and if I haven't met you yet, I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU IN PERSON!

PIC-JACKER sighting somehere in Beaverton..........
Hi there,
"The Georgia" who has been out of work for 2 days was sent out on a mission..... Mission, you say? Yes, a MISSION. I was notified, by a dirty scheming rat-the PIC-JACKER has been sighted somewhere in Beaverton. The infamous PIC-JACKER of my x-mas project. 2 days ago, the infamous picture was jacked. Now that I had a lead, well, I sent her out to get me more information and to return the picture so I may post it for you! She came back with a picture of the JACKER!Does anyone know this evil culprit?? Please, get the picture out to anyone and everyone! This FELINE must be captured and my picture must be returned! Do you see the evil in his eyes......?
So, school starts on Monday for me. I can't wait! I'm in the Civil Engineering Technology program at Portland Community College on the Sylvania Campus. Will I see you there? I hope so. I will be the chick in the brown leather cowboy hat. If you run into "The Georgia", I am in no way responsible for her actions, so be very careful..... I am working on another secret project that you will find out about very soon. It has to do with the calling of "The Georgia" for assistance when it is necessary. I need a simpler calling of sorts for her. Think of the Bat-Symbol in the sky. Are you thinking? Good! Me too. Let me know if you have any ideas!
OK, my friends, no please tell me what are you doing for New Years Eve? If you're in Portland, maybe we can meet up!

You get not only free syrup and free soy, but you get a free cup of coffee on Starbucks, any coffe. They mail you a postcard with a coupon on it and you can get whatever coffee drink that pleases you. Really, ANY DRINK, "can I get a quad shot, 2 pump vanilla, 3 pump hazelnut, half caf, venti mocha, please?" And it's FREE!!!! I understand if you are afraid of them having your information, but come on!!!!! (plus if you have ever returned something to your favorite store and they requested your I, they have your info too!) It's Starbucks and look a the mula you will save, silly! I beleive I save about 10-50 dollars a month! And on your birthday you get a free drink, and when you buy a pound of coffee, you get a free cup of coffee, for every pound!!!! Hello, so next time you are in a Starbucks, get a gift card, go online and register it, and watch the rewards come your way!!!!!!
Now, next order of business..... If you are lucky enough to live in the Portland Oregon area and are looking for something to do on New Years Eve, GOT TO GROUND KONTROL!!!!! The cover is $15.00 and it includes FREE PLAY ALL NIGHT LONG, BABY!!!!! And you even get a glass of champagne for the midnight toast! I really don't think anywhere else in Downtown is having that great of a deal! Nope, I just don't think so!!!!
You can come by and say hello to the most AWESOME CREW ON THE GAMING PLANET!!!!! And, "THE GARRETT" TOO!!!! Hi Garrett!!!!! He's the cute one with the two toned hair and most awesome smile!!!!!

Happy day after x-mas to everyone!!!!!!!
Hi there,
Well, I do hope you had a most awesome holiday yesterday. To everyone who had a birthday yesterday, I'm sorry that you had to think about other people on your birthday but it is what it is! At least you know a majority of the country is celebrating on your big day! My birthday is on July 5th, so I guess I'm in the same boat. As a child I hated it because all of my friends were always away on holiday with their families, but now I get to say they set off fireworks, JUST FOR ME!!!!!! They just don't always know it's just for me!
I need all of you who don't mind a little obscene language to check out a funny as heck Youtube video. Go on the site and search for Army Ranger Promo. When you see the ripped tan torso of a man click on it and you will be entertained by the funniest clip. I still laugh every time I view, and even think about it. There is another one while you are there called the Engineers Guide to Cats. It's a tad slower than the Army Ranger Promo but just as funny. And no, although being a cat person would constitute you to really enjoy this, you need not be one! Cat colonists all around are currently accepting applications for the position though! One of these days I need to make a Youtube video of my adventures in ChitraLand. Now that would be fun!
So New Years Eve is coming up...... What are you doing? My plans are still up in the air. A few years ago, some friends and I had rented a limousine and booked a Cabana at one of the now closed down clubs in downtown. It was some of the most fun I had ever experienced at New Years Eve. Another year back in 1999 we actually were in downtown for the ball dropping and went to the Panorama. I know it's was an alternative lifestyle club but it was still quite fun. How could you go wrong with 2 dance floors and if I remember correctly, like 4 bars! Come back cool clubs with a great choice of amenities inside for your lovely guests! We need you and request your presence in our wonderful Portland! NOW!
I'll be back morrow for more....... I still sit patiently looking for my Sensai! "The Georgia" is looking for new work as she has been fired from this job! And, "The Chitra" looks forward to you saying "Hi" to her on her BLOG!!!!! HI!-to me I guess! :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL IN CHITRALAND!!! And you too..............
Hi there,
So I'm getting this post in late as I have been on the run all day for the holidays! Tis the season....... I saw Santa on the way to my Auntie's house. I asked him how he was and he said he was exhausted but that it didn't matter because this is what he does and he enjoys it. I told him that I'm running late on my blog and exhausted with this holiday stuff too but that I didn't mind because this is what I do and I enjoy it! Ho Ho HO!! Rudolph then took Santa away on his merry sleigh and I got here to publish this post.
There is an essay I want everyone to read because right now I feel like it makes total sense. It's called Lessons in Love, published by Roy Nwaisser in 2001. He is a very dear friend of mine from childhood. Google it, you won't be disappointed! Every person that enters our lives teaches us a lesson. Some good, some bad........ Seriously, you need to read it! I will be reffering to it again as it is mindblowing! It changed my life and maybe it will change yours too!
I am gonna go get my x-mas meal as my family is asking for me. I will be posting again tonight because I feel like I have a lot to say right now and a lack of time to say it.
Hi Sensai, dear, dear Sensai, I miss you! My minds blog misses you, and my facebook and Twitter......
Michael, there may be a job for you after all!
Faisal, I can't wait til you get back to Portland!
Dr. Tommy, Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Abonaser, where have you been, no comments, no messages.....
"The GARRETT", my minds blog invites you daily to laugh at me, remember, it's not with me!
Ground Kontrol, I miss your not being open and will see you tomorrow!
Anyone whom I forgot, hey send me a comment and I will get you too!!!

Hi there,
Happy Holidays and Merry X-mas Eve all in ChitraLand!
This is going to be a bit of a rushed day! My alarm clock was manipulated this morning by "The Georgia" I'm sure! I was woken by a call with a box of tissues where she normally sleeps. When I looked down at the foot of the bed, she was staring at me with a look in eyes that explained it all. I'm pretty sure she was laughing at me, thinking, HA! cat-mother, I got you! What an odd feline she is.
My adventures last night took me to WinCo food store. I was there around 1am. Apparently everyone else was there as well. You know who you are people. It was packed. The parking lot was packed and the shelves were scarce. They were out of pickling and english cucumbers even. Geez, where's a Blog-a-Billy Chick supposed to find those cuc's if WinCo is out of them. Well, then she improvises which is what kept me there for an hour and a half. Maybe that was their plan all along. If the Blogger can't find the cuc's, she will be here longer looking for something else. And if she is here longer, she can get more food. When she is here longer, and she gets more food, she is sure to write about it later today. They also may have consulted "The Georgia" on making me sleep in so late. I think they, together have planned this X-Mas Eve venture for me all along! Evil, I say, just evil!
I have to head out to take care of some business prior to my salmon dinner I have planned for this evening. The dinner that is now minus the cucumbers. Thanks WinCo! Not really.
I hope you all have a wonderful day. Remember, here in Portland, most markets are only open until 6pm. Safeway is open until 7pm though. I might see you there. Maybe they have cucumbers.
Oh, cucumber god, please, please let me find them.........

This Persian Blog-a-Billy Chick sure does get around!
Hi there,
So there I was, at Ground Kontrol again....... Why you say, because, how can any arcade lover of a human being stay away from the greatest place on earth? It's virtually impossible. Plus, they are closed on Friday and Saturday for x-mas eve and x-mas. So sad, but good thing this chicks got a large extended Persian family to spend these days with! I'm sure and hope you do to!
I took my little men with me. You know, the tiny sumo wrestler and the little man in the jeans. I have come to the conclusion that they are not stalking me, they merely are looking for a home and a family. I gave them that so I felt obligated to take them on my Ground Kontrol-venture. They enjoyed it. Very much. I think, that is, as I cannot speak tiny little man language. I only speak Farsi and English. However, I can tell you that "My dog has no nose" and recite the alphabet in German. Yup, I took it for 2 weeks accidentally about 21 years ago when they mixed up my mine and my sisters language classes in high school. Go figure, I took French for 3 years and cannot say anything, and took German for 2 weeks and still retain the knowledge learned in that class. This goes to show you how important a GOOD teacher is.
So, now I have to head out and visit a Scottish friend! And no it is not yet Geoff Peterson. I'm still waiting for Craig Ferguson to hook me up! Come on, Craig, can't you hook a Persian Blog-a-Billy chick up with your hot, funny, and robotic sidekick? What's a girl to do to meet Geoff? I will not stop asking until it happens. Geoff, I'm hoping to meet you sometime soon, in ChitraLand! In the meantime, I can just hope...... Geoff, I'm waiting!
I will get you pic's of my newest family members tomorrow, you know, the little guys! I'm in a digital camera transition phase. I just went from 4mp's to 12.1mp's!
Thanks a bunch, CANON! You know, it's always been about you!...!...!.... Sorry other brands, you just cannot compete with the BEST!
Hi Michael, I told you I would blog about you! You are awesome and it was grand talking with you last night at Ground Kontrol!
Hey Nick, don't be a bloggin hater, you just don't know how great it is!
To "THE GARRETT!" Once again I shout out to you my friend! Is there anyone else cooler than you? I THINK NOT!!!!!!!!!!!
Faisal, you deserve the honorary shout out! You are actually quite patient with me and I love it! I just want you to remember one thing, In and Out Burger! You so have to stop and get me some food from there in Redding California on your journey home next week!
Sensai, oh Sensai! Wherefore art though Sensai! you are ginormously missed in ChitraLand! "The Georgia" is still on the prowl for you. Warn your evil captures....... She is one messed kitty on a mission!
Everyone else that is tuning in! I shout out to you! If you let me know who you are, I can make a personal shout out!

The Harley Davidson V-Rod was an adventure to remember in ChitraLand!
Hi there,
First and foremost, I would very much like to put a shout out to Dr, Tommy the best computer repair doctor in ChitraLand, which is a large vast land! HI DR. TOMMY! You are the best Doc! If you have a computer, laptop, notebook, or netbook that is under the weather, you must give him a ring or go to the website! (503) 716-8814-Office, (503) 707-7502-Mobile and the website is www.computerrepairservices.name. You will not be disappointed, after all if he could work the miracle on my minds blog machine, imagine what he can do for yours!
So last night was amazing on the V-Rod! You should have been there! We rode around and went to Ava's for a coffee! What a sweet smooth ride it was! My riding partner was a most excellent driver and boy was it SMOOTH! What suspension! You ROCK HARLEY DAVIDSON! There was another bike too..... RAD it was! We haven't gone out on it, yet! Right Paul! It did get pretty chilly out there in ChitraLand. Our adventure took us to the Aloha Station for some pool and a Black Butte Porter for me..... Deshuttes Brewery, boy do you know how to brew a porter! The night ended off with Craig Ferguson and Geoff Peterson! You know, I have a secret crush on Geoff. I have written in to Craig to let him know but have yet to hear back! Soon........ You never know!
My Sensai is still MIA! "The Georgia" is out on the prowl. I know she will find him. I just hope someone releases him first because if she gets to the culprit, I am not responsible for her actions! Her instincts are not of this world.....
Faisal, your adventure in California sounds simply amazing! I want pic's and if it's OK with you, I can post one or two of them!
Rusty, why are you MIA! Do I have to send "The Georgia" after you too! I will if I must, she is already itching for another prowl out in my LAND!!
Now, I have some somber news...... :( The pic of my project from last week with the X-mas stuffed animals and the scissors does not and will never exist. It has been jacked! The pic that is! Maybe I will send "The Georgia" after my PIC-JACKER! "V" she is coming after you, so you better lock your doors at night, because if she finds you..... well, you know! You did see her right?!
I'm headed to Ground Kontrol for a night of Pinball and Ms. Pacman! A few nights ago, Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Sue got the best of me. But not tonight! I'm coming for you Ms. Pacman murderers! You must be stopped and I am just the HEROINE to STOP YOU! WATCH OUT! Remember, when I get there, you are in my LAND, ChitraLand, and in my LAND, I get what I want! You, me, a race til the high score! BE SCARED, VERY SCARED!
I welcome any comments from my minds blog readers! And let me know if you will be requiring "The Georgia's" services. I have decided to allow her to be contracted out, to the right person of course.

Has anyone seen my Sensai?????????
Hi there,
So has anyone seen Eric, my Sensai, my blogmaster? I have been searching for him for days.... I'm starting to get very worried. I think something may have happened to him. If you know something or are holding him against his will, please release him immediately! If not, I may have to send the "GEORGIA" after you. She may look cute but she can be a real terror. I have taught her things. Scary things. Things that I could not publish........ very, very scary things. So I'm not threatening you...... OR AM I!!!! Hmmmm....... I thought I should include
a picture of the "GEORGIA". See her eyes, she is mind-#$#$%^# you right now as you read this, did I mention that you should be scared! Oh, and don't be fooled by the antlers...... They are her weapons of destruction in disguise!
To my followers and my newest friends, everyone who reads my blog, you are awesome! I hope you are laughing every day at me, not with me! That's why I'm publishing my blog in the blogosphere.....
Ground Kontrol Warp Zone............. You make me so happy to know that you are there for me! Garrett, the CHITRA SAYS YOU ARE AWESOME!
Pics coming very soon from the project from Thursday. Seriously, V, when am I going to receive them?
Hi Faisal! How could I forget a shout out to my dearest new friend! You, me, Pinball, beer! Cool, that's all I have to say!

There is so much more to say of course, because, well, this is my blog, but, alas, I have some business to take care of so I will try to get second posting in later.
Oh, and Sensai, I will not sleep, eat or drink.... OK so maybe I will drink until your safe return... Facebook and Twitter will be put on hold!

Ground Kontrol was RAD......... You should've been there!
Hi there,
I very much believe that my assistance helped get many fine people to the WARP ZONE(temporary stand in location)! I gave myself the title of Kontrol Director, ready to direct one and all to GROUND KONROL's WARP ZONE! I spoke with almost everyone that walked by. I even spoke with people across the street if they looked my way at Ground Kontrol Klassic (You know, their permanent location being remodeled right now. By the way, their current temporary address is 32 NW 5th, between NW Couch and N Burnside and when the remodel is complete, they are calling it 3.0. Get it, upgrade 3.0! GENIUS THEY ARE) I did freeze myself. My face, my hands and my feet. I piled the socks and gloves on but gosh was it freezing. Oh, and lets not forget the rain from last night. Yippee, freezing and wet I was!
It was pretty fun at times when people didn't realize that I was working for them. Sometimes I tried to tell people that tried to look away and ignore me like I was some crazy person! We always laughed once they realized that I was indeed working and not just trying to harass them. A Portland Security Guard even thought I was loitering. (Thanks Aidan!) I even got some people to go there that didn't know they wanted to. And, of course there was the people that had never heard of them before. After tonight it is surely in their heads that Ground Kontrol exists! When will I see you there??
So, I'm wondering why no one comments on my minds blog?? I hope you are reading it because you are enjoying it. It sure would be grand to hear from you. Alas, I am a patient blogger who looks forward to any of your comments.
Tonight in downtown was the Santa Pub Crawl too. It took a few rounds of groups of Santa's for me to realize that it wasn't the same group walking around in circle's. It was so funny. Good thing they didn't have their sleigh's. Could you imagine seeing Santas sleigh with the poor reindeer in the impound lot as his elves are eagerly trying to post bail before Mrs. Claus finds out? She sure would be %^&%$&^%#^&%! I did meet a nice Santa who lost his girlfriend due to the Santa Crawl starting so early and possibly one too many Hot Buttered Rum's. He was such a nice Santa. I hope he made it snowmobiling today. Hi dear sweet Santa! I hope all is well!
I still do not have a picture of the Christmas project I worked on Thursday night. I apologize. It will be quite worth it when you finally see it. Someone asked me the other day, why am I blogging. Well, just simply to communicate with all of the people out there. Also to journal my life so I never forget an awesome thing I did or an awesome person I meet. I began this late last night at Ava's. I just couldn't finish it because I was so tired.

Cold night in Portland, fun at PDX Hookah, and topped off by a funny childhood story of mine...
Hi there,
So you totally missed out lasts nights adventures in ChitraLand! I had the best time directing traffic to Ground Kontrols temporary location. It was so funny how many people didn't see the 6 foot tall sign in the window that said we are open across the street. But, if they had seen it, there would be no purpose for me to be there. I believe I did a great job. I even got the word out to people who didn't know about Ground Kontrol and I'm sure they will go there next time they are in downtown. It was chilly, willy though. At times I couldn't feel my face. You know when your face is so cold you have problems talking. I sure do since I swear some of the people I was talking to, thought I may have been a little, well you know, intoxicated. I was not, just freezing my face off! Ha! I did not mind one bit. I would do it in the snow, sleet, hail, etc..... Anything for my favorite playground in Portland! As a matter of fact, I am doing the same thing tonight. It will be raining though, I think, so it will be quite interesting how I will direct people. I better not forget my umbrella!
About my Thursday night project with the stuffed animals. Apparently the pic's were not taken last evening so we must be patient until I get them. Only then will you laugh as I did and continue to do once you see the product of my craftery!
I ended up at PDX Hookah last night after working at Ground Kontrol. Hi Jamal, E.J., Nate and the rest of the crew! I also want to make a personal shout out to my girlies Cher and Irnesa! You chicks are coolio! I also met Faisal and Talal! You guys were the best! You made my night when you showed up! You hung with me and were fun as heck! Even when I spilled my coffee on you Talal! And you... Faisal, so sweet to accompany me outside when we both now you were freezing, because I was freezing with a jacket on! Girls everywhere, these are the kinds of boys that you should look for. They are respectful, intelligent, and cute as heck! Thanks guys! Let's hang again.
As Craig Ferguson would have now, I wish I could ring my doorbell and have Secretariat do a quick dance session so I could switch topics. I'm on the hunt for my own performing Secretariat like e-horse. I will keep you informed as I seek him!
And now, my bio.......
So when most kids are young, like 3 or 4, they begin to ask their parents where they come from. In most cases, the mother explains how much pain and work it was giving birth to her precious child. Notin my Persian household. When I asked, my father was quick to say, "You do not knoww that pain and agony you caused me when I gave virth to you, through my bellie button!" BELLIE BUTTON! First and foremost, OOOUUCCHH! The thought of that even as a 3 year old was painful. hen my father went on about the pain and agony so much that I'm pretty sure it ruined me as a child. I was always so obedient towards him because of the horrible pain I caused him. My empathy as a child was unbelievable! What 3 year old is more obebedient because they were aware of pain they had caused their loving elder. I'll tell you, no child at 3 thinks this way. It is not of the norm! So I spent many years seeing mommys everywhere carrying babies in their stomach's and I would mention it to my dad and he would merely respond that this is how they do things in America. Confused and curious, I spent hours studying my fathers navel, in search of some sign that I did indeed escape into life through this tiny somewhat stretchy thing. I never spoke a word of how I felt to any of my friends or family members because I was so stricken with the shame of causing this grief to my father.
When I was 11, yes, 11, 8 years after my quest to understand my birth through daddys naval canal, I took sex education class in elementary school. When they explained the birthing process and only showed mommies, I was thrown for a loop. Part of me was elated to finally know the truth. The other part was slightly perturbed that I was lied to by my father. That day, I got home from school and ran to my daddy. "Daddy, daddy, AHA! you did lie to me. I just had sex education class in school and they told us and showed us that it's the mommies that carry and give birth! Ha HA HA!!!" I was so proud to finally have the upper hand with my daddy. Then
he said this..... "No Chitra, I did not lie to you. Tell me this, did your teacher teach you American Sex Educaion today or Iranian Sex Education?" I could not respond, confused, my feelings of shame and guilt returning, I quietly went to my room. I must have learned American Sex Education today. Why in the world would my teacher teach the class Iranian Sex Education. I was the only Iranian child in the class. It was not until I was 12, when my mother got pregnant with my baby sister, when the truth finally showed it's face to me. My daddy lied to me, goodheartedly though, and I'm sure he did not mean ill will towards me. If only he knew the guilt it had caused me growing up....... This story is totally true! I know because I lived it!

Adventures in ChitraLand was pretty interesting last night.........
Hi there,
So last night I did something absolutely hilarious! Lets just say it involved stuffed animals and scissors. That sounds strange, I know. I will post all of the details in tomorrows blog so I may provide a picture to show you too!
I am working tonight at Ground Kontrol! YIPPEE!!!! My excitement cannot be contained. I will be the Official Kontrol Director to the temporary location tonight and tomorrow FROM 8PM-MIDNIGHT! What does that mean, you ask? Well, I will be posted at home base, Ground Kontrol's actual site, which is under remodel and will let the wonderful Kontrol Kustomers know where the temporary "WARP ZONE" location is. I am the luckiest Portland Persian Blog-a-Billy Chick around! Look for me wearing the cowboy hat in the front of GROUND KONTROL, 511 NW COUCH ST., PORTLAND, OR, 97209, (503) 796-9364. Now, you think, gosh, it's going to be cold and possibly raining. Why would she be doing something like this? Well, nothing would keep me away from this place I think of as heaven on earth! I will do whatever it takes to be there, help out, and keep the Kontrol Kustomers pleased as well as getting you, who do not know yet that you are forever Ground Krontol Kustomers! It's on NW Couch St between NW 5th and NW 6th. I will be happily and OH SO ENTHUSIASTICALLY directing you to the "TEMPORARY WARP ZONE" on 10 NW 5th, between NW Couch St and NW Burnside St. Come by and say Hi to me on your way to the ARCADE BALL! Then go play, drink, and listen to AWESOME MUSIC! Be there, or be hexagon! (I bet you thought I was gonna say SQUARE! HA!)
Hey, Readers and followers, I miss you. Let me know what you think about us getting together sometime? Coffee sounds great to me. Send a comment or email and let me know if you would be interested.
So I understand that I have not gone further on my Bio with you. My minds blog only just began 11 days ago and I am still ironing out the kinks! Also, once Sensai returns from Seattle, I will be attacking the social network, My Minds Blog + My Facebook + My TWITTER! Yes, I do have a FACEBOOK and TWITTER ACCOUNT! I just don't know quite how to navigate them simultaneously. I'm not even sure if that's the proper lingo. So at that point, does that make me the Portland Persian Blog-a-Billy, Facebooking, Tweeter Chick? Geez, how do I type that in at every signature? I clearly need to seek a shorter more compact version. Maybe I will consult my little men, they must know a thing or two about compact!
Dr. Tommy-my minds blog machine is doing just dandy!
Steve-still ever so grateful to you!
My readers and followers-without you, I would just be a blog falling on silent eyes!
Eric, Dearest SENSAI!-CALL ME AND GET BACK!
Romeo, where-fore are though Romeo? Ha Ha! I just wanted to make sure you were really reading this the whole way through, so I threw in a funny to break the monotony!

My blogs mobile again!!!!!!! Thanks to Dr. Tommy.......
Hi there,
So, my doctor that I met is really my blog-machine's Doctor. I would very much like to personally thank Dr. Tommy, www.computerrepairservices.name,(Information will be at the foot of this post!) the computer repair guy! After my netbook kicked the binary bucket, I figured it would be a long road to be mobile again. Now, as I was pondering how in the universe I may get things going, I began to do some research online on netbook recovery and repair. Obviously I was able to find many companies straight through the www that offer their services. They all required money up front, email them first, call them and leave a message in hopes that they return your call, yada yada yada! I know you know what I was experiencing. I almost gave up and said forget it! That's when I decided to check one last time on Craigslist. I searched for recovery disc at this point because I just knew that the repair itself would cost me my soul in return. (Hey, I like my soul, I really want to keep it!) The only ads I came across were for desktops, laptops, notebook, and pads. Nothing for netbooks-SHOOT! That's when I modified the search to read netbook recovery and BAM! (Thank you Mr. Puck for reminding me of a good clean way to censor a thought!) I came across one ad, YES ONE! That is how the good doctor came into my and my netbooks life and gave me hope to get mobile quicker!
Dr. Tommy is a computer guy of the best kind! I explained my situation, we made an appointment and, well, I'm mobile again! Not only did he recover my system, he also gave much more than the other places offered for their much higher priced services.
He also got it back to me quicker than I was quoted by other companies. If you have a computer, laptop, netbook, etc. that has gone dead, you should call him before you go out and spend money on a new device. Imagine, you could fix what you have and save what you would have spent for a rainy day! (Remember to find his information at the foot of this post!)
Next order of business, the little men I was telling you about, you know, my stalkers.... I found this 1" rubber sumo wrestler man toy about 2 month's ago. He was on the ground and I felt sorry for him. I took him home with me and he hangs out in my bathroom. I don't really know what to do with him. So he just hangs. Well, you are wondering.... I thought there was 2 little men.... Yup, I found the other guy Tuesday. I got out of the car and looked down and there was this little 1" boy man on the ground. Hmmmmm... Curious! He was pretty beat up-I think a car ran him over. Maybe 2 did... Who knows.... Anyhow, I took him home too so my 1" sumo wrestler man may have a compadre. So, me, Chitra, self-professed Portland Persian Blog-a-Billy Chick owns 2 little 1" men now. Why? Because I have compassion an empathy for all things, even little 1" plastic men. They are doing fine. They do not eat much and they don't complain. I am however attempting to locate jobs for them so they may contribute financially in my household. It would really help since I'm a student. I do need to figure out how to properly post pictures on my minds blog so I can start actually showing you the things I talk about..... I'm just eagerly awaiting my Sensai, Eric, to get back from Seattle.... Oh, Eric, hurry! My minds blog needs you....... We need YOU!!!
Can I just tell you that I actually started this post late last night. The wifi where I was at, was pretty slow, so I had to save it and complete it today. Then, why? you ask am I publishing so late today???? This Blog-a-Billy Chick had to get some beauty sleep. You don't go around the BLOGOSPHERE calling yourself a self-professed Portland Persian Blog-a-Billy Chick without taking care of yourself and maintaining a high a level of confidence. This takes guts guys really!
Plus I'm working on something that has been requiring much of my time lately. I have got to head out. I'm going up to see my friend T. Hi T! I will be blog back later this evening as I still have so much to say. You know what I need is that device which I can talk into and it types for me so I may DWB, Drive While Blogging. Can you imagine how many more posts could come out of that!

Adventures in ChitraLand, and other thoughts too!
Hi there!
I had an interesting thing happen to me today... The only information I may divulge to you at this time is I met a Doctor! Dr. Tommy-HI! Tomorrow, I will complete the story as it is still being written as I'm blogging! Steve, something amazing has happened!
So I was in Downtown Hillsboro, far, far from home in Tigard and as it was raining mice and guinea pigs (too light for cats and dogs, and too heavy to just say it was raining) I started to smell radiator fluid. YIKES! (let's all thank Curtis for that word, and Curtis, if you're out there, call me! Lets go to Starbucks!) It was so strong I just knew I had to pull over to check things out. I looked all around and there wasn't a service station in sight. There was however, a Jiffy Lube!-You guys ROCK! It's located at 507 SE 10th Ave, Hillsboro, OR, 97124, (503) 640-8883. I would like to make a personal and wonderful shout out to Dan, Zach (send me a message, until I get my facebook back up!), Lucas, Stephen, and the Manager, Chris who hired this PLATINUM star team! I asked them to help me because I had a leak. I pulled up, they all pitched in, worked together on everything, and they and the customers there were all so happy!-that's what I call a fine establishment and priceless TEAMWORK! GREAT JOB MY NEW FRIENDS! We spoke, I blog, well, lets just hope these 4, ahem, 5 (Chris you should check out my blog too!) awesome guys become a part of my minds blog. Come on guys, the Portland Persian Blog-a-Billy Chick invites you to join one of the funniest ride's in the blogosphere. Well, in my blogosphere mind anyways! Thank you so much for the great experience and the OUTSTANDING SERVICE! I hope to see you very soon........
How is it that I should be so lucky to run into these fine people in my life? I feel blessed and proud! I am so glad I am blogging about this. I wish I could remember all of their names, the fine people whom I crossed path's with at one point or another. I also yearn to remember the dates our paths crossed, the times, and the locations. But I took these memories for granted by not documenting them. I abandoned them in my brain and they have been hidden under layers, upon layers of new memories that bully the older ones into submission. Once in a while, one escapes and I am reminded of the happenstance that bestowed me these fine people. KARMA, I know I have mentioned it before. My KARMA is kicking! HARD! I like it, i am honored! My blog now stores all of this information so I may let my brain off the hook. Thank goodness! I heard that I thought there might be a strike in the talks-I know this sentence appears a bit odd, but it made sense to me-fell free to comment any grammatical errors or send me a message and I will correct it.
Have I also mentioned that I welcome your words on my minds blog? You are invited to share freely what you think. Just please be aware of bad or derogatory words. I really do prefer good clean fun and so should you! It looks like my bio is taking a day off today since I had such an adventure out there in ChitraLand. I will get back to multiple daily blogs sooner than you think, my companion blogling!
To ERIC- Oh Sensai, I have much news from my minds blog back shop! Get back quick so my minds blog can evolve and morph into.......
I hope you are enjoying thought of my mind. I am most definitely enjoying putting it out there to share!

A few IMPORTANT words, including the start of my BIOGRAPHY!
Hi there,
I must share with you some information that you may or may not know. I started this blog so I could reach people out in the world and share my funny stories and thoughts. I also choose to include great places I visit, cool ideas, and I enjoy passing on information that will save you time, money or heartache. At this time none of the people, places or things I have blogged about are paying me to blog about them. I need you to understand it is only coming from my heart. If any place/product/business/company/etc. I choose to mention ever would like to advertise on my minds blog, I would not turn them away. I would welcome them with my blog since I believe in them, you might too... On that note, I also need you to understand that I will never allow any of them to advertise here unless I approve the message to you. For many years when I would mention somewhere I went or something I used to people and they would always come back to me and say "hey, thanks, you were right, it was amazing!" This is why I blog about them. This is not about the money (OK, obviously the money would be ever so helpful right now as I am a full-time college student and in need of getting my minds blog mobile again) but about the fact that I only pass on information of value or laughter. If it doesn't include those things, then I don't blog about it. Now if it has to do with mean people (because mean people suck!) then I may choose to post but only if it makes sense. I do not wish to attack you with blog-vertisements all over the place. I just wish to pass on useful, helpful information for your happiness! Please let me know what you think about this. Sand a comment! Share with me, i shared with you.....
Well, it was an amazing heartfelt ceremony that I held for the poor, poor netbook. My dear friend is now in netbook heaven where he will live on forever. Now, as I am netbook/laptop-less my minds blog will be posted only from home. I will try to get it mobile again soon.......
You should have come by Hafez Restaurant (503) 445-2129 in Tigard tonight. They were quite packed with many smiling facing and full happy bellies all around. This treasure of a restaurant is like my mom's house. People come and come back and back.... To me, growing up as part of a Persian (yes, from Iran) family, this place is like home. It smells like home, tastes like home, and looks just like home. There is an area with mats down low to the floor that reminds me of our family room in Iran. We call them doh-shacks and I'm certain I have spelled it incorrectly. I spell it like I say it...... I remember when my dad came back from the USA when I was 2 1/2 years old. We were preparing for relocation. He got home, got in his house clothes and we all gathered in the family room on the doh-shacks. We sat and patiently listened to his stories of this amazing country we were moving to. When it was our turn to inquire on this most amazing land, I jumped up and eagerly asked if there were any little girls there I could play with. He smiled and said "yes, as a matter of fact we have a neighbor just 2 houses down from us and they have a little girl that is 1 year younger than you." I was elated! A new friend just for me!!!! (hey, remember, I'm young and it's all about me!) I asked, "what's her name daddy?" and he responded "Al-i-son" and I, repeating it slowly (obviously not well since at the time I only spoke Farsi) responded to my father, "well, daddy, she has a very strange name" and he came back at me with the most MEMORABLE phrase of my dear childhood "when we move to America, my child, they will think your name and all of ours are STRANGE." At the time I remember being quite perturbed. I did not understand what was really happening. No young child knows what relocation means. Or at least I did not! So that my friends was the very beginning of my families endeavor to this country called the USA. If only I knew what we were getting into....... This was just the beginning of my life here in the United States of America, and I am going to share it all with you piece by funny piece.
As I constantly tell my friends, metaphorically, you can run, but you can't hide. So, I will tell you, my blog-friends, you read my bio, you will laugh. I'm thinking you will always come back for more just because you like it so much. If you happen to be my minds blog-hater, you will come back for the punishment of laughter! Yeah, and if you're not laughing right at this moment, you were just a moment ago!
By the way, do any of you watch Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show after David Letterman on CBS. Let me know.... It's my favorite! There's a foul mouthed robot, Geoff Peterson, a fluffy bunny puppet, and Secretariat, the famous Ferguson sidekick that enters whenever a doorbell rings and has everyone dancing with their arms in the air as he parades around the stage. This is FUNNY STUFF!!!!!!! He is funny stuff. Hey, I think I'm funny stuff. We were all meant for each other. You see everyone, in the life, everything happens for a reason. Me, you, blogs, Secretariat..... Check it out and remember, IN YOUR PANTS! (Thank you so kindly, Geoff Peterson!)
Ciao for now......
Chitra, Persian Blog-a-Billy Chick! ahem, Portland Persian Blog-a-Billy Chick!

My blog is temporary immobile, again..............
Hidee ho,
So the netbook that was loaned to me temporarily had some sort of illness yesterday evening..... well, what I'm trying to tell you is that I will be holding services later tonight. I will celebrate the life, times, love, laughter and death of my little friend. There will be no refreshments but many humorous stories. The services will be at Hafez Restaurant in Tigard. In the lounge. Be there, or your netbook is next!
Steve, I'm sorry....... Please let me know if there is anything you need. We will miss him!
So, this changes a few things until I am mobile again. If any of you have a older laptop or netbook that is not in use, please let me know if you would like to donate it to my minds blog.... You will be thanked dearly. Let me know.

Some things that i wanted to share with you......
Hi there,
So Steve and I hung out at West Union Bar. My Cousin Michael came bit. Michael was not feeling so hot. He went home to write music and play his guitar. I shared some funny things that happened to me with Steve and he said I should tell you. So I will. Here goes....
So tonight I made a stop at Target. I was walking down the isle and caught a woman look at me. She started from my feet and worked her way up. She had a look on her face. You know that look. Confused, a tad shocked, maybe curious. Now, I get it. I was wearing an nontraditional sort of outfit with a cowboy hat, floofy white jacket, denim mini skirt, leg warmers on my thighs, and knee high boots. I'm fine with it. I know it's different but it is what I like and choose to wear. Anyways, her look morphed into one of disapproval, kind of a nasty look, with a frown and all. As I was about to go past her, it took great strength for me not to tap her on her on the shoulder and say, "I know, but you know what, I just don't care what you think 'cuz I like it.") I should have said it to her but I didn't. I promise myself next time I will.
Now, about the cowboy hat. I refuse to take it off. Except for slumber and bathing, of course. I have spent roughly 15 years looking for one that fits and I found it a few weeks ago. I'll be damned if I take it off-except for sleeping and bathing.
I have spent some time getting to know what i like to wear and it is my style. Not what THEY think I should be dressed like or in. I prefer to shop where most don't purposely so I don't look like everyone else. I was at a big gala over the summer. I wore this beautiful colorful flower printed sheath of a dress with an amazing chain link snake belt. I stood out and received many compliments. I looked fresh and unique. My dress was a hit and I didn't spend very much money on it. One of the guests I knew wore a beautiful dress surely purchased recently from a department store. During the party, I looked and and saw a girl pass by in the exact same dress my friend was wearing. Devastating! I know! Well, not really, but, still no one there was wearing what I was. That is my point.
I think I forgot to mention I'm at Ava's right now. Americano baby! Mmmmm mmmm good!
So I met a group of 5 guys here. They invited me to sit with them and I warned them that if I did, i would make them laugh with my stories. I was right. Hi guys! I never went back around to get all of your names. My bad. Next time, or you can send them in my comments if you do become a follower. That would be grand, with a capitol G, just Grand! It looks like I have many more stories to share. Also, great information to pass on if you like to save money too! That will go on my next post later today. I'm going to my dear cousin's baby shower later. Yippee! I will let you know how amazing it was on Monday's blog.
Anywhoo...... I guess I should get home and get myself to bed. By the way, Steve, your little friend (netbook) is working just famously for what I need it for. Thank you again! Tron in a few days, buddy! I can't wait!

I blogged, Eric came................... (Eric, please see msg below for you)
Hi there,
I have a correction and a confession to make. Yesterdays blog contained a misspelled word. I cannot believe I missed it since it was one of the few words in all caps in the body of text for last night. Hello Chitra, where is your mind, and could you please go get it.I need it! BLOGOSPHERE is the word I apparently couldn't spell so now, I did. Ha!
Next order of blog business is my true and honest confession about repeating myself over a few consecutive blog posts. I honestly believed that my blog had never been viewed since at the time of posting I had no followers. Yeah, I was wrong. Apparently, people may be reading this but just not following yet. Now, please don't laugh at me. If you were my age, you too would quite possibly be a little confused as well. Now, just because I got the correct answer on how that actually worked does not quite mean that it just fell in my lap. You could say that I interrupted it at Ava's Roasteria in Beaverton late last night or was it early this morning. The wise and handsome source of my education was ERIC. Hi ERIC!!!!!! Not only was this sweet man a bounty of blog-information, but he was kind, he laughed at my jokes and did not shoo me away even when it looked like I talked one of his poor ears right out of the building. I personally witnessed his ear make a run for the door when a customer came in. Shocked, i stopped in my tracks, asked him if it was time for me to move on. I figured that he may just have enough time to catch his lightning fast ear before it crosses the Canadian Border. Graciously he denied and was so polite about it. It was as though he has some secret stash of extra ears at home just to replace the one's that get talked off by humans much like myself. Eric, I am so sorry about scaring off 1 of the 2 sources of hearing that you were born with. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. I am a great party planner. Let me know if you would like to arrange a nice wake for your lost friend. My thoughts and prayers are with him.
For Eric only-----genius here cannot seem to send you a message like you showed me last night. Not only did I fail in the process to get a message to you, but I managed to ad myself as my very own follower. Great, not only am I in this completely blog-blond, but I have managed to stalk my very own blog. That's fantastic! I just can't tell myself if I happen to press charges on my blog-stalker! How do I keep that a secret, pray, tell......... So I cannot send you a message but I can post a blog on my side and even respond to it.... Remember the idea a had last night? It's OK if you don't. I don't think you could hear me very well since your ear took a hike because of me. Anyways, the reason I was trying to send you a message was to ask you just a couple more questions. Dilemma here though as to how I can communicate to you. Maybe you could let me know the next time you are visiting Ava's and I can meet you there. I'm not sure.... Or I think you know how to email me a message through my minds blog. Well, you know, this. Please let me know how I may contact you. I would be quite grateful! Thank you, merci, mosh moshi......
I have so much to say and just not enough time to say it. Just imagine how many times a day I could be posting if I had laptop with me wherever I went. Scandalous! I am in dire need of a laptop but financially not in a position to run out and put in my order. Wish me luck, my next step is to send a message out to Craigslist to see if a good soul with a kind heart happens to have an extra laptop they are willing to donate to me. Unfortunately, this quest of mine may take some time. But alas soon, hopefully very soon........
Ciao for now! (and thank you again for everything, ERIC!!!!)

I almost missed my committed deadline...YIKES!!!!
Hi there!
I'm so sorry I'm posting so late. I have been out on the run all day and just got to a computer. I'm not even home yet. Yikes again!
Well, I'm still blogging to myself. So, I, good souled and naive, think someone may have been dishonest to me. See, I heard that if I BLOG, they will come. Well, you're not here! So this leads me to believe that was not true. I also naively believed them when they told me if I BLOG, I will be in some sort of place called the BLOGOSPHERE where blogs come together and become their own little piece of World Wide Web-History. I don't think my blog made it there. Just to let you know, this is exactly the reason I am terrified of this blog-ndevor. I'm sure I have done this wrong. I tried to follow the directions but I still think I made a wrong turn somewhere. If it happens that you, yes you, are actually reading this, may I please ask you to send me some sort of sign that I did indeed make it to the BLOGOSPHERE and am really a BLOG-I would greatly appreciate it. In the meantime, at least I can consider this my life's journal. At least I can look back on the memories, crazy things, reviews, and cool ideas that I think about everyday.
Whew, that was a long paragraph. I think it was pretty funny too and that's my opinion. I laughed.... I really laughed, hard! Ha!
Next order of business. I went to the new Hafez Restaurant and Lounge in Tigard, 12725 SW Pacific Highway, 97223, Oregon. I am personally putting the word out there that their Mediterranean Menu is DELICIOUS!!!! My taste buds are quite grateful for the experience I gave them there today. Yum YUM!!! They have a classy lounge in the back and the most beautiful ladies lounge. Check them out! Their phone number is (503) 445-2129 so you don't have to look it up to make a reservation for the large group of friends you will be visiting them with.
I gotta go. I committed to blog daily and it is almost midnight.
Ciao for now!

Falling on silent ears....................
Hidee ho!
Well it still appears that there is no one out there reading my blog..... Once again though, it's OK for now of course. I am still here even though you are not..... YET!
Well, I was at Ground Kontrol last night and their temporary location is pretty cool. Now it's so temporary that tomorrow they're moving around the block and by the end of January they will be back home on NW Couch between NW 5th and NW 6th in Downtown Portland, Oregon. My hopes are that soon when there are actually human beings reading my Blog, that I will let you know when I am there and maybe you can meet me! In the meantime, as I committed, I am writing to you..... well to the blogospere anyways. Ever heard Pink Floyd's song, Is there anybody out there? That is apparently my mantra for the evening. I am still hopeful and still committed.
So here's something that I've never really though of before I spoke with someone whom actually has their birthday fall on Christmas day. So the traditional thought I always had in that situation was, well you must not get a full lot of gifts for your birthday or Christmas as they are on the same day. (I am not vain in any way and don't even like getting gifts so this is just a thought of the idea but not my gripe.) I came across an friend recently whom stated that their b-day was on X-mas day. I, of course, followed them with the cliche, about the gifts that they receive. Well, they sure did surprise me when they said that the missing out on separate gifts was not so much the problem, which stroke my curiosity. Well, if that's not the downside then what could it possibly be? Hmmmmm.... That is when I was told that the real drawback to having your b-day fall on X-mas is that YOU (the b-day person) actually have to give other people gifts. That threw me for a loop and made me realize that I had never thought of it that way at all. I laughed because it shows that we really do learn something new everyday. Ha!
I am a little pressed for time today so I will leave my blog with just this. I will be back tomorrow probably about the same time. I hope that someone, somewhere, sometime, actually visits my bloghome so I know you are listening. Please let me know if you have any thoughts. Goodness knows I do!

A few thought's for Day 2 of my Minds Blog........
Hi there!
Well, apparently at this time I am blogging to just myself but that's OK. I still have much to say and I know eventually someone will read this.
I wanted to let you know that along with the fore-mentioned items, I will be discussing in my minds blog, I will also pass on really cool deals as well. Hopefully you will be able to take advantage of them wherever you are.
Here is one of the coolest things I viewed on one of the Home Shopping Network over the weekend. Now this deal ended but the information I wanted to pass on is to look out for the next deal because if this one once existed that means there are more DEALS to come! A 73" diag. HDTV 1080P MITSUBISHI TV that was 1599.95 with FREE SHIPPING and you could have have spread the payments over 3 months I believe with no interest. What this means is the GINORMOUS TV's are coming with a vengeance. Right now they also have 80" TV's as well. I remember seeing movies in the 70's and 80's that showed TV's that took up a whole wall. Or what about Caprica, the coolest new show on Sci-Fi, which has the windows turn into a TV. That must be next. I never thought this day would come so soon. Now, you ask, do you have one of those nifty televisions at home. No, I do not, as my lack of a student income is currently keeping me far from this treasure of a amazing TOY.
So instead I share this with you in hopes to pass on the information on the great deal. If you don't watch these shopping network shows, I really recommend you start. One thing I have noticed, is that many times what is being aired on these channels, just don't quite exist in the non-shopping channel world..... YET! So if you want to be the first with a new 16MP Digital Camera (which will be on one of these networks in I predict about 2-4 weeks) by a quality name you can trust, then tune into Home Shopping Network, QVC, or Shop NBC. Not only will you be one of the first to purchase one of the great cameras, but you can also, in most cases, spread the payments over 2-5 month's INTEREST FREE and you get your little treasure now. Not like on Lay-Away at some retailers, which gets you your product when you are done making your payments. Now, don't take that as I'm gonna get it and run and not make the final payments. You are a good person whom does good things, thinks good thoughts, and always remembers "Do onto to others as you would like them to do to you!" KARMA is everything in this life. If tomorrow we have no possessions, all we are left with is our KARMA!
Now, next order of my mind. Have you heard of the ARCADE in Downtown Portland? It's called GROUND KONTROL and I think it's the coolest place! Much like Chuck-E-Cheeses is for the tot's, Ground Kontrol is for the TOT-AT-HEART! Is it a arcade? Is it a bar? Is it a club? well, from noon-5pm daily it's an arcade. After 5pm is when the place becomes like wonderland for us over 21 years of age. Tuesday night is Rock Band night which takes a twist on Karaoke with a side of Rock Band. It's FANTASTIC!!!!!! I don't even play Rock Band! I just love watching these 5 people battle it on with others. If I did know how to play, you better bet your booty I would! Wednesday Night is Electronic Music night so if you're into those hypnotic tunes than I better see you there! Every night is just awesome! They have Ms. Pac-Man, sit down and stand up! PINBALL GALORE Upstairs! Frogger, Joust, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Simpson's and TRON and many many more!!!!! We all know Tron Legacy is coming out December 17th so why not check out the game that started it all! They are in the process of re-modeling at their current location so in the meantime they are just across the street. Check out their website at www.groundkontrol.com. If you like old school arcade's or if you're just plain old school, you will be right at home! Hey, did I mention after 5pm they open the bar? They have cup holders at most of the video games! For now they serve beer and wine, energy drinks, soda and have snacks. Once their remodel is complete, you can add a food menu and mixed drinks! Yeah, can I get a jack 'n coke? Merci GROUND KONTROL for giving me a place to have fun with-out borrowing my friends kids as an excuse to play it up at Chuck-E-Cheeses or Wunderland. Now, I'm definitely not hating on the previous mentioned places! I just like to nurse a Black Butte Porter as I'm skillfully out-maneuvering Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and not Clyde but Sue!
OK. I have to get to Ground Kontrol now so I'm heading out. I will blog you morrow babe!

Hi there! My name is Chitra like a CHEETAH Cat with an "R". Welcome to my Minds Blog!
So here I go! This is my first time venturing out into the blogging world. I'm 38 years old and have to admit I'm terrified! I commit to you to post everyday, unless I know beforehand that I can't, and then I will notify you in advance.
Ever heard the term "Yeah sure, I'll believe it when I see it!" Well, this term seems to follow me around whenever I get an idea or thought and share it with someone. Well, I am finally breaking the cycle and am hoping that you can help me to prove all the Chitra skeptic's wrong. I'm doing this and I think I may be pretty darn good at it.
My blog will contain ideas and thoughts about products or services, funny thoughts and experiences, life stories that may not always be funny but very true, and answers to any of your questions about me or anything else within reason as I don't claim to know EVERYTHING.... I just claim to have a voice that apparently is difficult to harness and be kept silent. I think of myself as the typical consumer which is also why I want to share my blog with you. If I see a commercial of a product and see value, enjoyment, or just a plain use for it, I will buy it or take advantage of it. If it is out of my price range or I don't have any use for it, I will pass on the information to open ears or reading eyes in hopes that it may bring joy or purpose to another persons life.
So here is my first item to share with you. Do you own an article of clothing that may have picked up a tiny snag in it? You know when the material gets caught in something and the tiniest little thread pulls out of it and makes it look funky? Well I do. For years I have bending needles, safety pins, anything I could get my hands on. I would then poke it through to catch that tiny little thread on the outside and pull it inside. Well, sometime this year I was on my many adventures in Joann Fabric's and came across my new little best friend. He is made by Dritz and he's called "SNAG NAB-IT". Yup, that's right, "Snag Nab-it. Out here in Oregon, it costs about $3.00. I'm sure there are many people out there whom have heard of this tiny needle like treasure but I was surely not one of them. And just to let you know, I have many friends and family members who sew and I have inquired with them and even they knew nothing about my cool find. So my dear reader I am passing this information onto you so that the next time you get that nasty snag on your favorite (well anything made of material that can snag) item, you can NAB-IT like I do. I actually own 2 of them, one for travel and one for my sewing kit. I also give them as little gifts to my friends or family members if I ever notice them wearing something with a snag or am present at the time a snag nabs them! Feel free to let me know what you think of it if you already own it and of course, if you go out and buy it, let me know too!!!! I'm interested to know what others think because I think it's just DANDY, well and HANDY TOO!!!!
I found this treasure at Joann Fabrics and I thank them for introducing me to it. This along with their amazing circulars, sales, and COUPONS have made me a customer for life! Thank goodness for mailing lists and email lists! As an OLDER college student, I need all the deals I can find to live a simple yet fulfilling life-with my, how should I phrase it, lack of a student income. By choice of course. I need as much of my brain as possible to be successful in school right now so I have chosen to accept this lack of a student income.I know I am not alone in that either.
I think I have given you enough for today. If not, please let me know and I am happy to lengthen my posts just for you. I will be back tomorrow but it will be earlier in the day. I am helping out at Ground Kontrol in Downtown Portland as they are remodeling.
I will tell you about Ground Kontrol tomorrow and if you like arcade games and beer (after 5pm) you will want to come back to hear all about it!
Ciao for today!!!! and until tomorrow........
