Hidee ho!
Well it still appears that there is no one out there reading my blog..... Once again though, it's OK for now of course. I am still here even though you are not..... YET!
Well, I was at Ground Kontrol last night and their temporary location is pretty cool. Now it's so temporary that tomorrow they're moving around the block and by the end of January they will be back home on NW Couch between NW 5th and NW 6th in Downtown Portland, Oregon. My hopes are that soon when there are actually human beings reading my Blog, that I will let you know when I am there and maybe you can meet me! In the meantime, as I committed, I am writing to you..... well to the blogospere anyways. Ever heard Pink Floyd's song, Is there anybody out there? That is apparently my mantra for the evening. I am still hopeful and still committed.
So here's something that I've never really though of before I spoke with someone whom actually has their birthday fall on Christmas day. So the traditional thought I always had in that situation was, well you must not get a full lot of gifts for your birthday or Christmas as they are on the same day. (I am not vain in any way and don't even like getting gifts so this is just a thought of the idea but not my gripe.) I came across an friend recently whom stated that their b-day was on X-mas day. I, of course, followed them with the cliche, about the gifts that they receive. Well, they sure did surprise me when they said that the missing out on separate gifts was not so much the problem, which stroke my curiosity. Well, if that's not the downside then what could it possibly be? Hmmmmm.... That is when I was told that the real drawback to having your b-day fall on X-mas is that YOU (the b-day person) actually have to give other people gifts. That threw me for a loop and made me realize that I had never thought of it that way at all. I laughed because it shows that we really do learn something new everyday. Ha!
I am a little pressed for time today so I will leave my blog with just this. I will be back tomorrow probably about the same time. I hope that someone, somewhere, sometime, actually visits my bloghome so I know you are listening. Please let me know if you have any thoughts. Goodness knows I do!
Ciao for now!
