Hi there! My name is Chitra like a CHEETAH Cat with an "R". Welcome to my Minds Blog!

So here I go! This is my first time venturing out into the blogging world. I'm 38 years old and have to admit I'm terrified! I commit to you to post everyday, unless I know beforehand that I can't, and then I will notify you in advance.

Ever heard the term "Yeah sure, I'll believe it when I see it!" Well, this term seems to follow me around whenever I get an idea or thought and share it with someone. Well, I am finally breaking the cycle and am hoping that you can help me to prove all the Chitra skeptic's wrong. I'm doing this and I think I may be pretty darn good at it.

My blog will contain ideas and thoughts about products or services, funny thoughts and experiences, life stories that may not always be funny but very true, and answers to any of your questions about me or anything else within reason as I don't claim to know EVERYTHING.... I just claim to have a voice that apparently is difficult to harness and be kept silent. I think of myself as the typical consumer which is also why I want to share my blog with you. If I see a commercial of a product and see value, enjoyment, or just a plain use for it, I will buy it or take advantage of it. If it is out of my price range or I don't have any use for it, I will pass on the information to open ears or reading eyes in hopes that it may bring joy or purpose to another persons life.

So here is my first item to share with you. Do you own an article of clothing that may have picked up a tiny snag in it? You know when the material gets caught in something and the tiniest little thread pulls out of it and makes it look funky? Well I do. For years I have bending needles, safety pins, anything I could get my hands on. I would then poke it through to catch that tiny little thread on the outside and pull it inside. Well, sometime this year I was on my many adventures in Joann Fabric's and came across my new little best friend. He is made by Dritz and he's called "SNAG NAB-IT". Yup, that's right, "Snag Nab-it. Out here in Oregon, it costs about $3.00. I'm sure there are many people out there whom have heard of this tiny needle like treasure but I was surely not one of them. And just to let you know, I have many friends and family members who sew and I have inquired with them and even they knew nothing about my cool find. So my dear reader I am passing this information onto you so that the next time you get that nasty snag on your favorite (well anything made of material that can snag) item, you can NAB-IT like I do. I actually own 2 of them, one for travel and one for my sewing kit. I also give them as little gifts to my friends or family members if I ever notice them wearing something with a snag or am present at the time a snag nabs them! Feel free to let me know what you think of it if you already own it and of course, if you go out and buy it, let me know too!!!! I'm interested to know what others think because I think it's just DANDY, well and HANDY TOO!!!!

I found this treasure at Joann Fabrics and I thank them for introducing me to it. This along with their amazing circulars, sales, and COUPONS have made me a customer for life! Thank goodness for mailing lists and email lists! As an OLDER college student, I need all the deals I can find to live a simple yet fulfilling life-with my, how should I phrase it, lack of a student income. By choice of course. I need as much of my brain as possible to be successful in school right now so I have chosen to accept this lack of a student income.I know I am not alone in that either.
I think I have given you enough for today. If not, please let me know and I am happy to lengthen my posts just for you. I will be back tomorrow but it will be earlier in the day. I am helping out at Ground Kontrol in Downtown Portland as they are remodeling.

I will tell you about Ground Kontrol tomorrow and if you like arcade games and beer (after 5pm) you will want to come back to hear all about it!

Ciao for today!!!! and until tomorrow........

Well, I'm glad to know you're alive and just as manic as the woman I had coffee with. This looks like it's going to be a wonderful type of thearpy for you. I'm going to read through the whole thing and comment on the postings I deem needed a comment.
