Hi there,
So Steve and I hung out at West Union Bar. My Cousin Michael came bit. Michael was not feeling so hot. He went home to write music and play his guitar. I shared some funny things that happened to me with Steve and he said I should tell you. So I will. Here goes....
So tonight I made a stop at Target. I was walking down the isle and caught a woman look at me. She started from my feet and worked her way up. She had a look on her face. You know that look. Confused, a tad shocked, maybe curious. Now, I get it. I was wearing an nontraditional sort of outfit with a cowboy hat, floofy white jacket, denim mini skirt, leg warmers on my thighs, and knee high boots. I'm fine with it. I know it's different but it is what I like and choose to wear. Anyways, her look morphed into one of disapproval, kind of a nasty look, with a frown and all. As I was about to go past her, it took great strength for me not to tap her on her on the shoulder and say, "I know, but you know what, I just don't care what you think 'cuz I like it.") I should have said it to her but I didn't. I promise myself next time I will.
Now, about the cowboy hat. I refuse to take it off. Except for slumber and bathing, of course. I have spent roughly 15 years looking for one that fits and I found it a few weeks ago. I'll be damned if I take it off-except for sleeping and bathing.
I have spent some time getting to know what i like to wear and it is my style. Not what THEY think I should be dressed like or in. I prefer to shop where most don't purposely so I don't look like everyone else. I was at a big gala over the summer. I wore this beautiful colorful flower printed sheath of a dress with an amazing chain link snake belt. I stood out and received many compliments. I looked fresh and unique. My dress was a hit and I didn't spend very much money on it. One of the guests I knew wore a beautiful dress surely purchased recently from a department store. During the party, I looked and and saw a girl pass by in the exact same dress my friend was wearing. Devastating! I know! Well, not really, but, still no one there was wearing what I was. That is my point.
I think I forgot to mention I'm at Ava's right now. Americano baby! Mmmmm mmmm good!
So I met a group of 5 guys here. They invited me to sit with them and I warned them that if I did, i would make them laugh with my stories. I was right. Hi guys! I never went back around to get all of your names. My bad. Next time, or you can send them in my comments if you do become a follower. That would be grand, with a capitol G, just Grand! It looks like I have many more stories to share. Also, great information to pass on if you like to save money too! That will go on my next post later today. I'm going to my dear cousin's baby shower later. Yippee! I will let you know how amazing it was on Monday's blog.
Anywhoo...... I guess I should get home and get myself to bed. By the way, Steve, your little friend (netbook) is working just famously for what I need it for. Thank you again! Tron in a few days, buddy! I can't wait!
Ciao for now,
Chitra
